I was a little too young to have had "the poster" but my cousin had it and the older brother of one of my friends had it as well.

I hope she recovers.

My parents wouldn't let me have "the poster." Apparently, it was better for my development that I had to resort to the swimsuit section of the Land's End catalog for my youthful "Pictures of Lily" moments.

Although I was actually hotter for Linda Ronstadt. There was some cowgirl poster of her that I remember being almost as prevalent as the Farrah poster. Hope she pulls out of this.

The Texas Monthly editor has a good BLOG about the state legislature, btw.

NEW YORK — Farrah Fawcett is being treated for anal cancer that has spread to her liver, a producer who worked with the actress said Monday in detailing a more serious situation than has previously been described.

In separate phone interviews with The Associated Press, Fawcett's producer and her doctor said that Fawcett is in a Los Angeles hospital, recovering from complications from a medical procedure in Germany, and is "not on death's door," as the producer put it.

I remember a pic of her in some sort of black/red lingerie, laying on a bed. I am guessing it was in Rolling Stone. I think I was in the 6th or 7th grade.

I can remember sitting around with a bunch of friends. Someone said they read about this new show coming the next season on TV: "Charlie's Angels."
Oh yeah? Who's in it?
Farah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson.
I said, "I think that's my favorite show."
Everybody laughed. For my next birthday, I got "the poster", a lapel button with the same pose, Farah birthday cards.
Poster is gone, but I still have the button.
Funny, once the show finally came on, I think I liked Jaclyn the best.

That Texas Monthly story was fascinating. It's hard to imagine a coed just dominating a major college campus like that.
