    I could not imagine the feeling I'd have if I was told my company was folding up shop in 24 hours. I feel sick to my stomach for MileHigh and his colleagues. You all deserved better than this.

    I was just handed a letter from one of the assistant managing editors.
    I won the Scripps fourth-quarter headline contest.

    It's from Mark Contreras, the senior vice president for newspapers.

    Can't. MH said the system is acting up and he may not be able to send them until tomorrow morning. I'm going to the gym...will be back online in an hour and a half or two hours. Told him to send along whenever he can, and I'll photobucket them as soon as I can.

    And the "Where's My Rocky" cartoon is now my desktop picture, both as a tribute to everyone there and as the most powerful reminder there is that not one of us is safe.

    To MileHigh and everyone there, I hope that somehow, some way, you're brightest days are ahead of you.
