Good luck to everyone involved. I couldn't imagine the feeling of a paper completely closing.

Such a powerful video. Best wishes to all on the RMN staff.

The Rocky sports department was one of the best run departments in the country. There is a reason why there has been such little turnover there over the past decade, as opposed to The Post, which loses its top writers and editors relatively frequently. There's a reason why the Rocky was able to lure Littwin from Baltimore, Lincicome from Chicago, keep Ringolsby all these years etc.

The Post seems to lose a top writer every year or so.

It was posted somewhere between pages 5-10.
    RIP, Rocky.
My girlfriend is going to Denver today and I'm having her pick up a few copies and looking forward to reading every word.

I'm finally awake. I slept with my ID badge (have to turn it in today). And I slept like a baby. Two hours sleeping, wake up crying, wetting the bed. Two hours sleepting. Wake up crying.

I can't believe it. I just picked up two papers off my porch for the last time. I got the early edition in the newsroom last night. I can't bring myself to take this one out of the bag.

Or see what the Post did.

    Because it doesn't matter.

    At all.

Seriously? There are far more important issues at hand than whether or not the guy wore a tie.

I got a chill when I read Ringolsby's story today with a Tucson dateline on it. I can't even imagine getting news like this while on the road.

You have to turn in your badges? Why? Are they taking them to the badge store for a partial refund?

I thought about that yesterday, especially when I read about the hockey writer still covering last night's game and the photo on the RMN slideshow of the paper's photographer on the phone at a spring training game after he heard the news.

Just traded emails with a friend at The Post and they are freaking out over the Krieger hire. It has nothing to do with Krieger's talent, but it essentially leaves the Post with five columnists (Paige, Kiz, Krieger, Armstrong and Frei).
