First I heard of this -- and agree with the others, that's complete crap.

Which makes me wonder how these severance meetings are going to go and Scripps' pledge to "do the right thing" -- their words -- for the employees.

Every time I think I've seen or heard about the most fucked up thing these fucktards can do to the good people in this business, something like this pops up to trump what I have seen.

Tracy, I know you are scrambling to get your house in order while at the same time busting your ass to get your Rockies site off the ground, but this is something I'd have absolutely no qualms about outing in a public forum to further shed light on how dishonest and greedy these people really are. Plus, and I hope you already did this, I'd be sending the Scripps boys another invoice if that check still has not cleared with extra "inconvenience" charges on it.

Good thing, Cowboy, that as Wild West types go, you're more Jimmy Stewart than John Wayne from "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance."

Stewart, of course, was the pilgrim who abhorred violence and favored law-and-order. John Wayne was the guy who took out that ornery polecat Valance, calling over to Woody Strode in the dark alley to toss him his Winchester just in time.

I know, obviously, that going all OK Corral on the RMN management Scripps pricks would only make a horrible situation hellish. But to stick a dedicated, longtime, nationally revered member of the staff with that sort of horsebleep expense as his job disappears out from under him, all while he was doing the bosses' bidding?

Let's just say I'm amazed no publishers, owners or top editors in this industry have been punched in their noses in the last year or two.

Someone needs to encourage him to do an update that mentions the reimbursement check was not accepted by Tracy's bank.

After that, someone needs to find out who the dickhead is that left the first comment. At least the next commenter put the first dickhead in his place:

    Cowboy Hat says:
The Post didn't hire Ringolsby because it values writing that is beyond the third-grade level.
    Seriously, his writing is awful.
But he sure do look stylish in that there cowboy hat.

    Vill Robinson says:
Yeah, Troy, what the hell does the Hall of Fame know about good baseball writing, anyway?

There was a reason why the Rockies beat at The Post was a revolving door while Tracy remained on the beat the whole time at the Rocky.

The Post had Jim Armstrong, Jerry Crasnick, John Henderson, Tony DeMarco, Mike Klis, Patrick Saunders and Troy Renck and I'm sure I'm forgetting a name or two.

Don't get me wrong, there are some amazing writers in that group (Armstrong and Henderson), but the only one who I thought held his own against Tracy was Klis.
