The Corrs are fantastic. And anybody who dismisses them as pop lightweights does so at their peril. They’re tremendous musicians.

No joke. Seen them half a dozen times. They tossed Oz Fox, their bass player a few years back for losing his way (divorce!) but he was replaced by Perry Richardson from Firehouse, another mark of shame for me.

You know, I was thinking of making some kind of "why would I worry what other people think" post... but fuck it, man, you just made that impossible. I tip my cap.

One of you people posted you liked the Pina Colada song a while back.

    Show yourself.

I've never been particularly religious, but I always loved Stryper. And of all those '80s glam metal bands who are still putting out stuff, I think they have probably the best material right now.
And just a correction: Oz Fox is the group's lead guitarist. Tim Gaines is the bassist they let go.

It wasn't me, but that song is so jacked up I actually kind of like it. The song is catchy in a shallow way to the point of being offensive, but the people are really fucked up to each other.

My hot take from here a while back:

The relationship in the song is doomed.

It's built on deception, lies and deceit.

BOTH are looking to step outside their relationship and make the beast with two backs at midnight with a random stranger who likes a shitty 'tropical' drink and is too stupid to come in from the rain.

Sure, they'll get back together, but then, things will get stale ..

Soon, very soon, they'll be hosting neighborhood gatherings, serving gallons of a shitty 'tropical' drink, and before you know it car keys are being thrown in a bowl.

All wrapped up in a catchy pop tune to spread this message of deception, lies and deceit to the masses.
