    Truly a forgotten classic.

The diner scene from "Reservoir Dogs" is great. Most of these guys don't know each other, they're about to do something highly illegal and possibly deadly, and they're bantering about like old college buddies. The way they play off each other is tremendous, and the one-liners are terrific. Well-written and well-acted all the way around.

The ending of "Tin Cup". I've always loved the way it goes from generic sports movie ending (underdog winning the big tournament against all odds) to one man's battle against pride and himself, then just proving that he CAN hit the damn ball over the water, and finally "victory" by holing out the improbable shot. And then, when he's walking off the green and it hits him that he gave away the U.S. Open, he's the only one who's upset about it.

    Good call. Gritty movie.

The scene in which Michael J. Fox tries to communicate with and comfort the terrorized Vietnamese girl, then manages to do it, barely, was something, too...then, to see her get blown to bits, anyway...uggh.

Reggie Dunlop visits Anita McCambridge in "Slap Shot." The humour of the film is well known, as is the notoriety of this particular scene, but the truth is no one, absolutely no one, could have played this character as perfectly as Paul Newman. His finest role, bar none, and this scene is a big reason why.

Reggie goes in with a certain desperation, knowing this will be his one chance to save the Chiefs. He's knocked for a loop to realize the owner isn't who he thought it was - the owner has died, and his widow actually owns the team. Now Reggie is even more unsure of where he stands.

Over the next couple of minutes, he realizes that Anita is onto his game. But she's enjoying the game, and his uncertainty gives way to a certain pleased feeling. She reveals to him that, yes, the team could very well easily be saved because of his efforts. His pleasure is now absolute elation. He has won......or so he thinks.

She pulls the rug out from underneath him, saying that she won't actually save the team because it's not a financially sound move for her to make. You can just see, in a matter of seconds, his world falling apart all over again. But now he's no longer desperate -

My favourite scene in the movie. Newman should have been nominated for an Oscar for this performance.

Have to add, the Russian Roulette scene in "The Deer Hunter" as well as the closing scene after the funeral.

The first Russian Roulette scene not the last one where Walken dies.

You can name about 50 from "The Godfather" but the horse's head in bed always gets me. A thousand bullets you would expect but this was truly shocking and truly ruthless.

Reggie Vaughn struck out Heyward in Major League. Jake Taylor laid down the bunt.
Barnes was shot by Chris Taylor in Platoon.

    But you're pretty close :D

Old-timers? I'm 32 and got, love it and remember it fondly. :)

"Well that's all for me tonight, boys. I'm gonna leave you some cab fare."

"You owe me 15 grand, pal."

I love the pre-battle scene near the end of "Saving Private Ryan" when the soldiers are listening to Edith Piaf and sharing stories, waiting for a fight that will kill most of them.

The opening scene in "The Way of the Gun" -- Very NSFW for language.

From "The Salton Sea," the Bobby Hobby freak out, which goes from kind of silly to scary to awkward in about 90 seconds.
