Nighthawk, of all the things you've said on this board that I've found weird, wanting more seasons of My Boys tops the list.

  2. Hey, it's my favorite show and meeting the cast is one of my favorite experiences. If I had my way, it would still be going.

Seriously, if that's your favorite show, even if you met the cast, you really need to watch better television shows.

Loved! Sledge Hammer! I must have been like 9 or 10 when that was out. Man that guy was badass! All I remember was he slept with his gun and his chief would always yell: HAMMER!
*off to look for DVD set*

  5. That and Man vs. Food. Those are the only two shows that I've ever made plans around.

Obviously, Freak & Geeks. SportsNight if it qualifies, Twin Peaks first season. New ones that I'm not sure if anyone else saw are Dr. Doctor starring Matt Fewer (later Max Headroom) - my high school self thought it was the funniest thing on TV - wonder if it would hold up. Loved John Ritter's Hooperman, also a great theme song. Equal Justice was pretty good about Sarah Jessica Parker & others in a DA's office. Now that you mention it, I kind of liked Nightingales too, though I'm not proud to admit it. In my old insomnia days, there was a syndicated show called Fame L.A. that I got hooked on for a bit too. Jason Bateman once starred in It's Your Move which was good - don't think it lasted long. And if I recall, The Days & Nights of Molly Dodd wasn't bad either - I think that was the first official dramedy. Actually did not like Slap Maxwell, which was supposed to be about what you all do and shared an hour with Hooperman.

Molly Dodd was ahead of its time. But then again, it was so understated, it might not have pulled in the big ratings in any era.

Yep, I mentioned it earlier in this thread. Glad someone else knows what I was talking about.

    A coupla other shows:

"Learning the Ropes": Lyle Alzado plays a teacher who moonlights as a pro wrestler. Lasted one season, and Alzado got sick soon afterward.

"Brooklyn Bridge", a show that got excellent reviews that my mom got me watching about a kid growing up in ... if I remember right, the 1950s. CBS kept shifting it around and cancelling it, and viewers kept petitioning it to come back.

Actually, here's the intro to Class of '96. Good, but short memories.
