I remember Tea Leoni had a sitcom in the early 1990s called "Flying Blind" where she played the freespirited girlfriend with a repressed, uptight boyfriend. I remember liking it at the time - maybe just because I was 16 and Tea Leoni was really hot. Turns out it was created by one of the writers of "Arrested Development," so perhaps it's not just my teenage hormones remember it being better than it was.

I was a fan of "Boston Common" as well - Anthony Clark was a guy who decides to stay in Boston after dropping his sister off at college because he falls in love with a girl (Traylor Howard). It wasn't groundbreaking, but it had a good supporting cast (including Steven Paymer) and some solid chuckles every episode.

Didn't like Boston Common, but there was another Tea Leoni show where she edited an Enquirer type magazine which I liked. I think George Wendt was in it, but didn't do much. I also liked My Sister Sam, does that qualify?

I have a very vague recollection of a
sitcom that premiered around 1977. Took place in a community center in NYC and Reggie Jackson played himself in the pilot - more
than a quick cameo. Can't for the life of me remember what it was called - I was about 6 or 7 at the time.

Sounds like The Naked Truth, which actually ran from '95 to '98.

    Only 15 episodes, though.

Wow - thanks. I don't remember Ned Beatty being in it, bit I wouldn't have known who he was at the time anyway.

I'm late to the thread, but I just ripped through the first season of Sports Night in a couple days. Why did this show only last two years?

Along with Herman's Head, there was a show called Whoops! About an inadvertent nuclear holocaust. I loved this show when I was a kid, it was my fave along with Herman's and The Simpsons. Wonder if there are any episodes floating around so my childhood love can be ruined.

Among other reasons, ABC had zero clue what to do with it.
