Crime Story also gets bonus points for excellent use of theme song.

  3. Yes ... Loved Crime Story.

But it was two seasons, which disqualifies it from this thread's criteria.

One I forgot about was Clone High. That show was genius.

I was thinking about that show the other day. It was tremendous.

One of the many shows UPN threw against the wall in the 90s was Nowhere Man, a sort of tribute to The Prisoner (which could also fit in this category), where a photojournalist (played by Bruce Greenwood) has his identity stolen and is trying to get it back against all manner of Kafka-esque hurdles. It was actually quite good.

Speaking of Quinn Martin, SciFi Channel showed The Invaders a few years ago on an afternoon loop. It was definitely outdated, but still cool in a paranoid kind of way.

DirecTV shows that on one of their house channels. Pretty funny.

I was a big fan of The Good Guys. Funny buddy cop stuff. I'm a little upset to hear they're not renewing it.

There was a game show on Fox called, I think, "The Chamber," that me and maybe two other people saw. It was on Friday nights for two or three weeks one summer (maybe around 2004ish?), then went into the ether. I only saw it because I happened to have a couple weeks off.
Anyway, the premise was interesting. A group of people competed to answer a trivia question. The one who got it the fastest earned the right to go into one of two chambers -- hot or cold. The hot one heated up to a few hundred degrees. The cold one froze the contestant with temperatures as low as minus-150 degrees. The contestant was hooked up to a heart monitor, and as soon as their stress level became unsafe they lost.
There were seven levels that got progressively tougher to endure. The cold chamber, for example, started off around 10 degrees and then dropped 10 or 15 degrees each minute. The longer the person lasted in the chamber, the more money they won. I think the grand prize (which one guy earned in the cold chamber) was $100,000.
The show didn't last long at all, but it was interesting to watch.

  11. I didn't think My Boys lasted long enough.

I've mentioned it before. Back in 1993, there was a FOX series called "Class of '96," sort of like "Paper Chase." It had Jason Gedrick, Lisa Dean Ryan (Doogie Howser's girlfriend) and B-movie queen Kari Wuhrer, among others.

It lasted only one season, but I thought it was superb. That, plus it had one of the best theme songs I've ever heard before or since.
