Very cool. So much of that was the soundtrack to our life here in Toronto in the 80s. It wasn't a summer if you didn't see Kim Mitchell at least once (I had his first solo album cranked up the other day, still sounds great) and I remember a show in the summer of 1984 with Honeymoon Suite (local heroes who won the Q107 Homegrown Contest) and Corey Hart opening for April Wine. One of my first dates with my wife was at a Sass Jordan concert.

Lay It On the Line is their magnum opus. And it was cool that Rik Emmett used to perform in a Detroit Redwings jersey.

Someone made a Rush/Triumph comparison earlier. Always thought the cheese-tastic “Magic Power” was Triumph’s attempt at “Spirit of Radio.”

How about Saga....and their hit "On the Loose."

Life in Canada seems awful, stuck with all these crappy hands.

That and “Wind Him Up” are among the most unintentionally hilarious early music videos.

Supertramp was another band that was really big in Canuckistan compared to the US, my brother was a big fan and played that shit all the time. They have one good song: Goodbye Stranger
