Great. Cal needs to score 33 unanswered points to cover for me.

I'm in the same boat, Stallion. Let's start paddling pretty effin' hard right about now.

Well, at least they have the ball for more than a few seconds.

I just saw that ESPN also has its eye on the Salukis. Up 7-6 at Northwestern. But they just had a bad 3-and-out, and Northwestern has it near midfield.

Alright, now just 30 unanswered points.

Northwestern goes 50 yards in two plays to go up 13-7 on the Salukis.

Meanwhile, Montana State is still up on Minnesota, and Illinois isn't exactly having its way with UL-Lafayette. Just one TD, and that was via the defense. But, hey, Iowa is leading 3-0 in the second quarter. The Big Ten rocks!

And Minnesota scores. Illinois scores. An epic day. Big Ten teams now have scored 45 points this Saturday. That's an average of nine points per team in the first half of today's incredibly difficult games against FAU, ULL, Montana State, SIU and ISU.

Clemson looking average, most likely due to the fact that they are.

Cal. Cal. Cal. That's why Cal will never be USC. USC can travel cross-country and beat the crap out of a Virginny by 45. Today, Corso and Herbstreit and Fowler were verbally masturbating Cal being a contender for USC because of this, that and the other, and how you better tune in early today because after the first half Cal will've taken the turtles behind the woodshed. I don't think Cal's ever really proved it can travel 3,000 miles and beat the shit out of a power conference team. In Berkeley, sure. So far away from hippieville, not so much.

Oregon might fall into the same trap at Purdue today. Sure the Ducks have speed, but I wouldn't be surprised if Joe Tiller told the field crew not to mow the lawn as much. Keep it a bit higher and scragglier, to slow down those Duckies by a half-step. That half-step makes all the difference in the world.

So do 3,000 miles, apparently. Fucking Cal.
