That's like saying, "my prom date has bad acne, is flat-chested and has a mole on her lip, but Goddamit, at least she's not fat."

Hey, hey, let's not be putting UConn in a category with 'Cuse.

With Reesing, do the Jayhawks really need to run the ball? ;D

UConn was actually decent last year -- and not even because Big East officials failed to understand fair catch rules </bittervillefanboi> -- but Syracuse and Pitt bring nothing to the conference right now.

Let's see how West Virginia comes back next week against Colorado before we totally dismiss the Big East. Not sure the extended time off helps them, though.

My point it one of the stories last year was how the ACC had stolen what were thought to be the top teams from the Big East, and yet the Big East was in fact stronger.

That's no longer the case. If this continues, you can book the ESPN "Should the Big East get an automatic BCS Berth anymore" stories for later in the year.

Looks like you get Oregon-Purdue, with the battle of the Techs as your side dish on the Deuce.

The Big East is, not to put to fine a point on it, horseshit.

Cross-promoting with a Big Ten afternoon or SEC night game, Vince Doria apologized and blames critics for telling the viewers how they're supposed to feel..

Against the FIU's of the world, nope. Winning games like this might be a bit tough, however.

I still think KU's fine running the ball, especially if USF is overaggresive trying to get to Reesing, which would open up some lanes and big plays.

Griffin was one of the best athletes I ever saw play in high school. When I first saw him his junior year my noted then were that his speed, quickness and stealth ability were superb for any athlete. His passing and his ball handling (carreid the ball very loose) needed much improvement.
By the time I watched him at the state title game his senior year, I didn't think he could get better in the speed, quickness and stealth, but he did. His passing and ball handling were improved, but he still needed work on both. He looks better at Baylor and perhaps he is the key to getting the Bears respectable again.
