TCU assistant head coach Eddie Williamson suffered a heart attack on the sideline in the first quarter of today's game. He is listed in stable condition at a Fort Worth hospital.

Aaron Murray left with an injury after taking a helmet to the left knee. Georgia went after the defensive lineman a play or two later. That created a scuffle. An Auburn player threw a punch and was ejected. After the following play, another Auburn defensive lineman threw a punch and was ejected. Both will sit for the first half of the Alabama game. Not that it matters. Auburn doesn't play any defense even when those guys are on the field.

Why do I have the feeling the SEC office will review the tape and decide those ejections were improper and lift the suspensions?

I covered Debose in high school. He could scoot. He played some quarterback, too. One game, though, he was benched for missing school for a recruiting trip. The school district's rules are no school, no sports. I wonder whether the university has the same requirement.

Meanwhile in Lincoln, Nebraska is once again playing down to its opponent. 0-0, 5:30 left in the first with a Kansas team that apparently left its offensive line in Lawrence.

    Great sequence in Waco.

With a 3-0 lead Baylor stops A&M on fourth and short at the BU 29.
Robert Griffin goes 71 yds for a touchdown on first down, 10-0
    A&M with an 84-yard KOR, 10-7.

I was just hoping for a win. An ass-kicking on the road? SWEET!
I gotta thank Jacquizz Rogers for running his mouth this week, talking about how the Beavs would "destroy" the Cougs. What would you like with that crow, Mr. Rogers? :D

I only covered a couple of games from the Kinnick press box, but I couldn't believe the number of freeloaders. Kudos to Phil for making this move.

Is it a sign of the apocalypse when Oregon doesn't have the ugliest uniforms in a game (thank you, Cal and your ode to mustard)

A note for those tuning in to Oregon-Cal:

The team in the absolutely hideous all-yellow uniforms is not Oregon.

I didn't see the game at all, but the box score shows 45-10 in the second half. Seems like Indiana folded the tents and headed home.
