The Versus announcer just said Cal's offense was getting into a rhythm, because they had used a few passes, a few runs, and some penalty yardage. Yeah, that pretty much covers their options -- except for catcher's interference, I guess.

Touchdown, Gators. Pulls them to within *pinches self* 15 of South Carolina with 7 to play. I can't believe the Chickens might actually play for the SEC title ... down conference season or not.

And the color guy from hell yells "That one would have missed from 60 yards!"

That was odd. Like, isn't that you'd say more about a kick that was missed from, say 45 yards? "That would have been missed even if it was a 20-yard kick!"

And is it just me or was it pretty obvious on the replay that was a catch on the sideline, yet the announcers both thought it'd stay an incomplete.

In their defense, I doubt they have access to MNF-level video capabilities in the booth. Both in terms of the equipment and in terms of the crew working with them.

...and the Ducks win 15-13. Not pretty, but I'll take it.

One last bit of announcing genius: "There's a flag down. That might be another penalty!"

This is going to be one of those years where a smart coach picks up some of the assistants from Florida, Texas and Georgia that suddenly decide to seek other opportunities. Figure Meyer and Brown will have to unload some people.

Or congratulating Chip Kelly for taking a knee and not going for another score at the end, as if he took the knee because he didn't want to run up the score. Uh, guys, that was a bit safer play and would run out the clock to win the game. I don't think sportsmanship had anything to do with it.

Yeah, that was kind of odd. It wasn't like they were on the one. Taking a knee was the only smart play there.

By chance, was this announcer's name Captain Obvious? If not, it should be.
Just saw the highlights. Cal's kicker was offsides on his first attempt? Holy smokes.
