This is so stupid. If you think that TCU and Boise aren't as good as other teams in the hunt, you're a small conference hater.

Because, I guess, you can't make that judgment independently?

This has gotten ridiculous. Some of you have taken up a cause, pure and simple, and can no longer analyze it rationally.

    Oh, please.

Do you even know how bowl selection is done?

The bowls want teams that (1) Travel; (2) Produce ratings.

No-name schools don't do that. No-name teams don't do that. That's the reason World Series ratings were down.

I was actually really surprised last year when Butler-Duke drew such a high rating, because most casual sports fans I knew felt let down that it was Butler there instead of Michigan State or some other name school.

Did you watch the Fiesta Bowl last year? The broadcast was absolutely embarrassing it was so patronizing. One crowd shot after another, interspersed with platitudes from the broadcasters about how wonderful it was that all the fans from the wittle bitty schools had come to the game.

The shots of the TCU cheerleaders were cool, though.

The most fascinating thing about last year's Fiesta Bowl was the fact that TCU and Boise fans were "disappointed" to be playing each other. For all the screaming that they really do deserve to be at the big boy table, both fanbases refused to acknowledge each other as a big boy. If TCU and Boise really are so great, which I'm not denying, I never understood why people found it insulting to have the two play each other.

It's not hard to understand. Right or not, they get more recognition for beating a BCS conference power.

Precisely. Does the word "ghetto" ring a bell? That's what the Fiesta Bowl was last year.

I'll agree the broadcast was impossible to watch. Cut, cut, cut, cut. It was terrible. I really couldn't take it watching it on DVR. I just had to fast forward to the next play. Yep the TCU Showgirls are pretty hot.

It's like getting invited to a fancy Thanksgiving dinner and finding out you are sitting at the kiddie table.

Because the Fiesta Bowl's top priority was fucking over Boise State, even at the expense of its own game.

Because an eight-digit payoff and national network television is ghetto and kiddie table.

Because TCU-Iowa and Boise State-Georgia Tech would have been much more palatable, seeing as how they're both BCS schools.

Because the object of the BCS should be to give mid-majors the best matchup possible.

You people would make me cheer for Goliath to eat David alive.

    Wow, racist and ignorant.

    Nice work.

Care to explain how the Fiesta Bowl "fucked" the teams at the expense of their own bowls? The attendance was higher than the Orange and Sugar Bowls. The ratings were significantly higher than the Orange Bowl and in line with the Sugar Bowl.

People who think Boise or TCU playing GA Tech or Iowa is more appealing than watching two undefeated teams play each other are the ones with a problem...

Not if you look into the traditional meaning of the word ghetto.

The teams no one wanted in their neighborhood were forced to play in Tempe.
