Try again, skipper. The statement was that Labor Day weekend is bad for sports. My point was that at least two big games were moved TO that weekend BEACUSE of it being Labor Day, not DESPITE it.

Some pig picking between two sets of truffles could do better than me.

Again my point is FSU-Miami is an instate game. That will draw a big crowd any day. Those games are usually moved for TV.

does it make me a bad fanboi that I'm rooting for Pitt to lose to WVU so that they won't go to the Fiesta and get boatraced by Nebraska 66-3?

And Miami's never been able to fill gtheir stadium unless Florida State or Florida was in town, how exactly did that diminish them as a team? Having a big fan base is kinda' like shaving your pubes: it doesnt make the package any bigger but it will sometimes appear that way.

It doesn't. Somebody made the idiotic point that TCU travels well when in fact Frog fans won't even travel all the way over to Arlington.

No, Boise State and TCU probably had the best right to complain, having to face the same team in a bowl game for the third consecutive season. Good matchup, but stale.

Both deserved to get picked above Cincy: Bigger ticket sales and better TV ratings.

And to give TCU fans credit, the represented pretty well at that game. They didn't have as many there as Boise State but their side was pretty full with energized people.

I went to the last four Fiesta Bowls and that one was the hardest ticket of the bunch to get (at least in terms of a good deal) and that includes the Boise State-Oklahoma game.

How well the Frogs would draw to something like the Orange, who knows, but they did show they can turn up to at least one big-time game.
