    Very well said, Piotr.

(But really and truly, doesn't my State/Ole Miss tussle rank up in, at least, the Top 10 all-time rivalries listings?)

What's hilariously awesome is that Tennessee, which lost to Wyoming on homecoming, is beating Vandy 10-0.

Not as cool as Ohio State-Michigan.

And, in retrospect, those two were only vying for a chance to get their ass beat by Florida. Or had we not had a Pete Carroll Choke(TM), USC.

Vanderbilt's first four drives: 8 yards, 2 yards, 1 yard, -10 yards. They've got 3rd and 10 coming up on this one.

I've seen two commercials for the upcoming season of Scrubs and one for the upcoming season of Lost during the OSU/Mich game.

Therefore, this is the greatest rivalry in all of sports.

Pick-6, Vols. Thank your lucky stars, Dores, that you pulled it out last week.

Rutgers is going to a bowl game. Who'd a-thunk it after the 1-5 start?

    Whoopin' Army 24-0.

Oh, stop. Quit harping on anybody who displays any sort of allegiance. What's so damn embarrassing anyway? I don't cover college football. I've never covered college football. Don't ever want to. So I couldn't give fuck-all about being unbiased about it. It's a fun argument -- everybody loves rivalries. I happen to think this one is the best, yes, in all of sport. It's certainly my favorite; there's no game I look forward to more. What's yours?

You're changing the discussion, buckweaver. I have no problem with your various allegiances; I have poked fun at the fact they're so geographically spread out . . . .

But anyway, I never said, nor implied that your fanboyism is bad because you work in journalism.

I said it was bad because it's causing you to act like this game is biggest one in the whole, wide universe. There is a massive difference between saying it's your favorite, and saying it surpasses every game contested everywhere by people in uniforms.

I have a few favorites, sure. Ones I like watching, not always out of any allegiance to a particular team. USC-Notre Dame. USC-UCLA. Texas-Oklahoma. Ohio State-Michigan (despite the insufferability of both fanbases).

    in Basketball: Indiana-Kentucky. Indiana-Purdue.

    Dodgers-Giants.

    Raiders-Chiefs. Raiders-Broncos.

Germany-England in soccer. England-Argentina. Italy-their own demons in soccer.

I like these. Wouldn't argue for any of them over any other, since the fact I personally like them isn't enough to achieve universal transcendancy. Though I do think Dodgers-Giants is the best NL rivalry.

These fucking sideline reporters are embarrassing themselves.

Yeah, well ... the day of the Ohio State game is not the best day to be having that discussion with a Michigan fan. Because today, I assure you, it is.
