Worst Michigan team in history of the school: never had 8 losses ... before 2008.

That begs the question, how can the best rivalry in all of sport be so one-sided?

Nice to see Joe Tiller go out a winner, nice to see Rodriguez end the season on another bad loss.

Lauranitis knows what the greatest rivalry in sports is.

    Grambling-Southern?

BTW, what has happened to the Tar Heels? They've gone from front-runner in the ACC (though admittedly, that does change every week) to losing 41-10 to North Carolina State ... at home.

What do you think of Michigan's execution?

I was checking out a feature on SI.com on some of the great rivalry trophies. I'll say this about Ohio State-Michigan, it's so huge it doesn't need a trophy or a nickname for the game.

And how many trophy games is Michigan State involved in?

Syracuse and Notre Dame 3-3 after the first quarter. If Weis was on the hot seat against Navy, what would a loss to Syracuse do?

I have no interest in the Big 11 or its games, but I do love Paul Bunyan's Axe.
