A month and a half ago. Timing is everything.

UC only has Syracuse left on the schedule. I guess it was a way to ask if his team would be focused on the Orange next week - after a "big win" over Pitt - because Syracuse beat a second-rate program with its own national TV deal.

    Tech is a joke tonight.
Worst showing with the biggest hype that I can remember in a long time.
Hard to believe that Crabtree and Harrell were both Heisman candidates.
    Tonight ends that.
Any conversation that doesn't have Florida in the top 3 is laughable.
The Gators are a blocked PAT from being undefeated. I'd put the Gators ahead of 'Bama at this point.
If they beat Alabama like I think they will, Florida will roll into the title game against SC or the last team standing in the Big 12.

  4. Don't forget Florida still has to beat Florida State.

Just looked up Cincy's sked -- they play Syracuse next week. Maybe that's what they were talking about.

Oh, and what happens to Cincy's game at Hawaii in December? Why is that even on the sked to begin with.

Well, it should get interesting after OU chokes against OSU, or Missouri. No way Stoops win three big games in a row.

This is gonna be another year that shows the key to winning the national title is losing early.

Almost all the old Big 8 schools do.
KU, NU, OU and MU are the other ones I can think of.

Florida State looks really good when you stack them up against the ACC,

Against UF, eh ... not exactly.

I'd assume they'll play it as scheduled.
As for why they scheduled it, maybe they weren't thinking about a bowl when the game was made and they figured a nice December trip to Hawaii would be akin to a bowl. Similar to what Alabama did a few years back when they were put on probation.

  10. True, but who would have thought Florida would lose to Ole Miss? It's a rivalry game. Same with Texas at Texas A&M. The Aggies blow chunks, but it's a different world at Kyle Field against Texas.

SC still needs OSU to lose to be "eligible" for the NC.

Oh. My. God. What a beautiful pass play.
