Harrell is back in the game?
Leach trying to get him killed?

Um, it was 42-7 at the half. Final score is irrelevant. Halftime score says enough.

Blame the system for running it up. Not the coach.

Computers won't see it that way.
They see margin of victory over a quality opponent.
And the Herbster had it right. Tech went from playing for a national title to not making the BCS now, assuming OU beats Okie State.
OU and Texas make the BCS, assuming Mizzou doesn't pull a shocker.
So Tech is looking at the Cotton Bowl or San Diego.

    1, Bama
    2, Texas
    3, Oklahoma
4, Florida (although scheduling Citadal this late into November might make me drop them)
    5, USC

  7. Good list, Xan, but I'd have USC ahead of Florida.

In Texas high school playoffs, if there's a three-way tie, they go by the point differential between the three teams in the two games they played. In this case, Oklahoma runs away with it at +41 while Texas is +4 and Tech is -35. You could also factor in non-conference schedule or total point differential and decide that Oklahoma should be the top dog. I don't see anything that strong to make me think Texas should be higher right now.

I'd love some of what you're smoking. An idle team should be ahead of Florida?
Can we penalize USC for scheduling Notre Dame this late?

Can we penalize Florida for playing fucking Citadel four days before Thanksgiving?

    77, I think.

It was either The Citadel or an open date. What's the difference? (And The Citadel put up as much of a fight as South Carolina did, anyway).

not that high school rules matter but in most cases (and each district decides its own tiebreaker rules) there is a cap on points. i.e., 45-0 win doesn't get ya +45 points.
