So we are to assume Oregon and Auburn will be 1-2 (or 2-1) in the BCS rankings this week? We are, as predicted by someone last week, down to four BCS conference undefeateds, and one of them is Michigan State, who continue to skate on the thinnest sheen of ice. Don't get me wrong, that's a good team, just not as good as their three fellow unbeatens.

PS: Just as Boise State/TCU's chances for the title game took a dive last week, they took a little upswing yesterday. I assume that no BCS conference teams can be unbeaten for either school to have a shot, or at the very most, one BCS school can be unbeaten.
Of the BSC conference unbeatens, Oregon has Southern Cal on the road this week, Missouri faces a rematch with Oklahoma in the BCS title game to name just one hazard, Michigan State has Iowa on the road this week, and Auburn has Alabama and an SEC title game to win in succession to stay unbeaten.
Those are tough chores. In Auburn and Missouri's cases, daunting chores.

I have no idea who is going to win the Iron Bowl. None. But, man, that game is going to be so big the day after Thanksgiving.

What would be hilarious is if Auburn/Alabama won the SEC West and the ole' ball coach beat them in the SEC Title game.

South Carolina has already shot its wad, I think.

    Well, it is almost November.

Also, don't forget that Auburn's only 2-6-1 at home against Georgia since 1992.

Thank God for instant replay. Thankfully the refs made the right call, but seven or eight years ago, that onside kick would've been given to Oklahoma.

The running lanes were there all night. The Sooners tackled like the 2003 Chiefs. I also read somewhere that the OU offense gets progressively sloppier as a game wears on, and that was evident. Mizzou got more pressure, and forced Landry Jones to make more bad throws.

A fan-freaking-tastic win. But I want the Nebraska game 1,000 times more.

Wonderful, touching gesture. What college sports should be about.
So why can't I shake the feeling that some NCAA asshat read about the trust fund and is gleefully writing a cease and desist letter to Rutgers first thing Monday morning?

    Exactly.
And Masoli won't lose them all, so he's got a shot at 'em next week in Oxford.

Would think it would take a vintage Ole Miss team to deal with Newton -- and this certainly isn't it.
