There's too much funny stuff going on here all at once: JDV's political teachings; Ragu's new sig; Boom's title changes but the funniest is the website of the guy that JDV, aka OB1Kenobi, is quoting.
This is from his article, "What are Leftists?" Oh, and the guy has verbal diarrhea, much like JDV:

The division obviously is real and the demise of the great icon of Leftism -- the Soviet Union -- seems to have had little impact on its intensity. Leftists may no longer have Communism to point to as a possible alternative system but they remain Leftists all the same. The banner cause of Leftists since Karl Marx -- State ownership of the means of production or "socialism" no longer seems reasonable to all but a handful of diehards but Leftists are still Leftists and Rightists are still Rightists and never, it seems, the twain shall meet.

I'm betting this guy's Phd ain't from Harvard.

Oh, and just saw this piece in his seminal work called "A Short Essay on leftism"

There was a poster around the universities a few years back that is rather informative about the Left-wing viewpoint. It said: "I love humanity. It's just people that I can't stand". My own way of putting much the same point would be to say that Leftists (in my sense) say that they "care" for people but will cheerfully murder half of them -- whereas conservatives do not claim to love humanity but they do not want to murder half of them either.

We have found JDV's muse.

Well, Dick Gregory is from East St. Louis, and since Gregory's a socialist, he probably likes Hitler.

Maybe Ragu was thinking of Topeka, home of Fred Phelps, whose politics are a little confusing, so I may have to ask JD Villatonto to explain where Fred Phelps fits in. Non-Kansans sometimes confuse Topeka and Wichita.
