I hope this keeps up all week.

All of us in "teevee" can localize rioting and police-minority relations instead of hanging out at the Salvation Army for the annual "Free Turkey for the Homeless" stories on Wednesday and Thursday and standing outside of a damn Best Buy at 5:11 in the morning on Friday.

Shepard Smith on Fox says he has heard negroes may start rioting all over the country, so if you're not concerned already, you should be.

If Seinfeld was still going on, I could see Kramer and Newman doing exactly this. But with Michigan 10-cent recyclable cans in the trunk.

Things that really, really bug me as stories like this unfold ...

So nine of the 12 members of the grand jury are/were white. And a number of folks have used that ratio (which corresponds, roughly, with the racial makeup of St. Louis County) to imply that the GJ was stacked in favor of Wilson.

Now we have a CNN opinion writer who makes this assertion:

And in the quoted passage, the phrase "significantly impacts the final results" is a hyperlink to this study:

"The Impact of Jury Race in Criminal Trials," The Quarterly Journal of Economics, 2012: 1-39.

    Here's a pull from the abstract ...

If you believe that GJ was too pale to give Michael Brown a fair shot, fine by me. But how in the name of all that's holy can you, in good conscience, use that particular study to support that particular belief?

Riots definately look better at night. The flames show up better. Glad they held the decision

Nothing screams network news like talking nimrods with no ability to think on their feet and footage of destruction porn. Somewhere Walter Kronkite says, "what are these ass clowns doing?"

There's a place in Ferguson called Sam's Meat Market. I guess it's run by Sam The Butcher.
