Interesting take from Nehisi Coates on American on American crime.

"Why are our politicians ignoring this plague of American-on-American crime? Why are American leaders not protesting the cult of death that fills the graveyards of America? Who will bravely challenge the culture of failure that says that Americans should only be outraged when Muslims kill Americans? Who will challenge the American pathology that says that a boy who walks unarmed is acting French?"

Jesus, here comes Gee with another of his after the fact proclamations. Could you please direct us to the post from before the rights began where you criticized making the announcement at night?

You know, the Rodney King verdict was announced during the daytime, but that didn't do a damn thing to prevent rioters from ripping up South Central LA, instead it only seemed to prolong the rioting, with the raging going throughout the day and all night, and giving more time and opportunity for other troublemakers from outside the area to come and join in the mayhem.

And a daytime announcement would not have prevented these riots from occurring either, despite what some hindsight blowhards might be saying today.

"You're too much of a pussy to shoot" said no black teenager to any white cop, ever.

Imagine the outcry if Bob McCulloch was a Republican.

Klein also notes that Wilson said Brown ran 20 or 30 feet, then turned around and came back 10 feet ... but the evidence shows he died 150 feet from the car.

That's the kind of discrepancy that, if claimed by an anti-police witness, would be seen as enough to junk the whole case. Yet in this context it goes largely unexamined.

    That's a fishy story.

With that range under pressure he would have been a heck of a TE

I still haven't heard a good reason why Mike Brown needed to be shot six times, with the final shot being to the head, and why that wouldn't be excessive force by a police officer.

I like that, even in times of stress, America keeps their priorities straight:
