Pretty sure the three autopsies concluded that Brown was still moving forward when the final shot (the top of the head) was fired.

I'm pretty sure you can find that evidence on Twitter. Maybe Facebook.

OK, I'll admit "already down" might've been a misstatement.

But, according that WaPo summary of the evidence, the final three shots came while he was "... either falling or bent at the waist toward Wilson, including what was likely the fatal shot to the top of his head." Even if he wasn't entirely down yet, "falling or bent at the waist" does sound to me like he was in a position where Wilson should've known that final fatal head shot was unnecessary.

Bent at the waist could also mean charging with his head down. Not trying to justify the shooting or anything, just saying.

The comments a few posters have made about St. Louis are by far the most enlightening posts in this thread. It's sad that this topic is going to get lost in the fight by the usual suspects who are more concerned with either "my side won" or "my side got screwed."

The problem is that this happens TOO OFTEN to young people of color. And furthermore, to take the word of the officer ONLY because he has a badge and a gun is crazy. There are no winners in this. A kid is dead. An officer's life is ruined. A community is destroyed in many ways. Cities and other communities across the country are upset. I see it as another WTF moment for The United States of Amerikkka.

And here's a point that many are missing. He is a trained officer. TRAINED. That means he could've put this kid, who was charging, lunging, whatever, down with a single shot. He elected to unload on him. And what's worse is that the kid was unarmed.

You clearly have never shot a gun in your life.

Wilson's testimony reads like a parody of what an over-the-top racist white cop would say to get out of trouble.

Yes I have and I'm not talking video gun. I can hit what I'm aiming at. And as someone who can shoot a little bit, I believe that he could've put the kid down with one shot. He is supposedly a trained officer who should know how to handle a weapon.
It's pretty clear to me that he was a frightened guy with a badge and unloaded on the kid.

Of course he was a frightened guy with a badge. Who wouldn't be in that situation? And what if he initially intended to just stop Brown from advancing (the shots to the arm) and realized he had no choice but to deliver a fatal blow once the kid got within a few yards of him.

Fact is, only the officer knows what he was thinking. Everything else is just opinion and speculation.

That was just the story his theft buddy told to incite the riots back in August. And to get on CNN. CYOA.

Anytime someone yells Hands Up now the reporters should say "Of course, the autopsy reports determined that Brown didn't have his hands up at all." Or they're just fueling the fire for the cameras. Oh, wait....
