    Did anyone seriously think there would be an indictment? This cake has been baked since day one. No way the prosecutors can bring a case against the cop without ending their own political careers.

    That's a sad commentary on our judicial system then. That's not how its supposed to operate; we are supposed to have checks and balances between the feds and the state and local agencies and between law enforcement and prosecutors.
