A very good answer to the frequent question "Why aren't we talking about ..." is that white people/males/Chechens aren't as good at mobilizing as black people to protest perceived injustices.

Why be mad at the black people for it, though?

Eh, the only thing effecting real change is them body cameras and shit. Hear all evil, See all evil. That's real change.

Does anyone know if the convenience store clerk that Brown bumped into on his way out of store testified at Grand Jury proceedings? Has the media ever interviewed him?

They didn't quiz him at all.

Maybe ask him about conflicting accounts of how Brown's arms got into his car?

Why, when Wilson said his gun went off and a shard of glass cut his hand, was his hand not injured in any way?

Statement to a non-police witness: "Basically just about everything that you said on Aug. 13, and much of what you said today isn’t consistent with the physical evidence that we have in this case, OK?"

Statement to Wilson: "Is there something that we have not asked you that you want us to know or you think is important for the jurors to consider regarding this incident?"

    So, wait, I'm confused.

One instance of authoritative abuse of power cannot and should not be used as impetus for a drive toward social change?

Or, this particular incident shouldn't, because a similar incident involving a Chechen didn't, either?

Or, is this particular incident incapable of bringing out the proper social change that would hold the all law enforcement at all levels more accountable?

Or, social change is not needed at all?

Oh look, we've yelled and waved our hands and screamed "look over here!" enough that the conversation is no longer about a country of police forces that can't stop shooting people at absurd rates and now it's about things black people do wrong.

"Stop hitting yourself! Stop hitting yourself!"

question to Wislon:"Why were you in Ferguson with a gun that day?
Wilson: Because it's my job, to protect and serve.

Question to Michael Brown's step father: Why was Michael out in Ferguson the fat he got shot?
Answer: to steal and fuck with people.

I'll give Wilson the benefit of the doubt where the testimony was conflicted about what happened. It certainly worked for Kobe and OJ

See, I know I'm right because even the not completely knuckle-dragging people like yourself who disagree with me can't help but pound away at strawmen.

Of course I have racist tendencies. I grew up in a culture that fosters them. I try to mitigate them as best I can, but I'm not magically immune just because I recognize their existence.

I think folks will believe you recognize the difference, and want to enact social change, if you join the march from Ferguson to the Guvna's doorstep in Jeff-Mo.

That's a long fucking march. I'd rather make some message board posts.

If James Garner can march in Selma, Rick Stain, you can march.

What's the name of it going to be? Selma rolls right off the tongue. "I marched at Selma."

I guess "I marched from Ferguson" works. Plus, with smartphones, you can march and post at the same time.

Of course, you are perfectly fine with using strawmen yourself or when they are employed by somebody you agree with.

Like this lie you are trying to push that anybody who questions whether or not racism was involved in this particular incident is somehow ignorant of the ongoing presence of racism in our society. And that is a lie. Even you aren't dense enough to truly believe that, but it serves your argument, so you keep trying to shovel it out there.
