So, who was the first person at SportsJournalists.com to post that picture?

I wouldn't say that people who think the shooting had no racial element are ignorant. They're wrong, but in a reasonable and understandable way.

People who think there's no systemic racism in how the aftermath was handled by local authorities are ignorant.

Actually, the real issue is the folks like you who think they know things when they are only guessing.

I started with cogito ergo sum and worked from there.

I don't think it's provable, with the current evidence, that the shooting had a racial element. The systemic racial elements? That's a different story.

There is no way you can prove there was a racial element to the shooting, other than the fact that a white police officer shot a black man, but plenty of people are sure acting as if they can prove it.

As I wrote earlier, plenty of folks talking out the wrong end of their anatomies all over this thread and everywhere else this is being discussed. Unfortunately, that has done nothing but create more problems. If the shooting was not justified and the prosecution did fail to deal with it properly, ascribing motivations that may or may not have been in play rather than addressing the actual issues is counterproductive.

The white officer used traditional racist tropes in his description of the incident.

That is not proof. That is you trying to sell your narrative.

Rick, unless the officers admit they are racist, they aren't. Come on, man!

No it's not. If Murphy Brown can raise a kid by herself, then by gosh, single black women can do it too!

So we should settle for clues that don't really prove anything because something is difficult to prove? Or do you just not care about being able to support your claims with evidence?
