Do you think anyone who is focused on violence is watching Obama at this time?

You can't possibly think you can post that and think it is the end of the political discussion. It never should have started. This story is too important for the usual bullshit to get this thread shut down. It was already starting to lean that way, but that doesn't excuse this post at all.

I just wonder how many of the people getting violent were just looking for an excuse.

They're now building fires all throughout Ferguson to keep people warm. Considerate on a cold night.

That's interesting info but, you know, this was a grand jury decision. The prosecutor ain't the one who made the final call here.

Self fulfilling? 500 cameras watching 700 people and waiting for them to do something

Everyone take a deep breath and stop with the attacks and keep it on the topic at hand. I know that's difficult for a lot of you and it's easy to pull the trigger, but check yourselves, please.

As I understand it, prosecutor willl release all evidence grand jury considered. Had Wilson been indicted, wouldn't have been permissible, but since no indictment was forthcoming ... Perhaps we could/should dial back all of our certainty until we've had a chance to check that stuff out.

Prosecutor has enormous influence in a grand jury setting. He writes the script and directs the play. He decides what is and isn't worth examining. There's no "other side."

If the prosecutor is inclined to be on the cops' side, he can present the case as such. That's always a concern, but with this case in particular the prosecutor has a solid history of being on the cops' side. That's why there were calls and petitions to replace him before the case began.

The Seasons Greetings banner in front of Ferguson PD is a nice ironic touch.
