I guess for me, "winning" a game, especially a league game, is considered "as big" as another powerhouse winning a league game.

Sidenote: a really cute girl just walked into Panera.

Anyway, a team wins it shouldn't drop.

Yeah, I probably should've clarified, that my stance is based more on top 10.

From 11-25, it's all a crapshoot and philosophies can prevail.

But if No. 1 USC beats Wazzu, by whatever score, and No. 2 LSU beats South Carolina, by whatever score, voters ought not be leapfrogging LSU over USC.

Why, Xan? Maybe some have No. 1 just barely ahead of No. 2. If No. 2 has a more impressive victory, what's the problem in leapfrogging?

Because No. 1 won its game.

So if USC beats Stanford by 1 and LSU beats Florida by 50, USC should stay No. 1?

Wow all you want. I can respect your opinionated wow (Opininated Wow would be a great band name).

But no win in the Pac 10 is guaranteed the same way wins in the SEC aren't guaranteed. Look, Ole Miss almost beat Florida, but Florida slugged it out and held on. Reward the Gators for that the same way you can say, "Great game, Ole Miss, you gave it your best fuckin' shot but came up short."

I just don't agree with the logic, but I respect your opinion as well. I know Doc agrees with you; he'll vote West Virginia No. 1 until they lose and Buckweaver will vote Florida No. 1 until they lose.

But I think keeping a team No. 1 as long as they win and ignoring what other teams do is too rigid. The poll should reflect who is the best team in the country, not who was the best team in the country when you first voted.

I'm not a voter in this poll, but I would have USC No. 1 and LSU No. 2. I don't think much separates them, though. If LSU would manhandle Florida, that would be enough to sway me to change.

So why did you blow my ass out in fantasy football?

Pinkel is the best coach Missouri has had since Warren Powers, who really was nothing special. And you want to get rid of him? It's not like Missouri has a tradition of great football in the last 40 years or so.

I ask this in all seriousness to the many Mizzou people here, since I don't live in Big 12 territory: Is Missouri among the bottom 10 of all underachieving BCS schools? Is there any major sport the Tigers are good at?

I didn't say I wanted to get rid of Pinkel. I said I wanted to get rid of Alden, who is a douchebag.
