They've beat Notre Dame (only winless BCS team), Penn State (now losers of two straight) and Northwestern (lost to Duke). I'll be curious to do my ballot soon enough, to see if there are 25 teams better right now. But off the top of my head, Michigan's resume still isn't all that great.

There've got to be lots of teams better. Any two-loss team that didn't lose to a 1-AA school comes to mind.

As mathematically impossible as this seems, I don't think there are 10 teams worthy of being called Top 10 teams. Perhaps four or five worthy of Top 10 status, and about 20 worth being mentioned in the Top 25.

They should prove that on the field by actually beating a good team before we give them that crown.

I have been thoroughly unimpressed with USC this season. So, after last night's games I compiled my Top 25 and the Trojans are second, behind LSU.

If you'll recall the unpleasentness a "newbie" brought to it last night, it has rightly been deleted.

Which "newbie" is responsible for that? I was just looking for the thread, damnit.

The LSU team that did squat for a half against Tulane?

Yeah. LSU had a lousy half against Tulane. But USC hasn't been impressive all season long. They're winning games, but they look like they are missing something.

The LSU/USC debate will go on until they play in January.
I'm just trying to figure out how to do a poll after the top 2 when everybody's losing.
