    LSU was scheduled to open the season against Appalachian State. ESPN proposed a Thursday night LSU-Mississippi State opener, and LSU pushed Appalachian State back to 2009.

    That also enabled Appalachian State-Michigan to happen.

    I can't vote for Ohio. Sorry, any team that gives up 42 points to the Beagles can't be very good.

    Plus, if they got ranked, sportswriters would be trying to call The Place Where Phone Calls Go To Die, aka the Ohio Sports Information Department. (No voice mail and no one EVER answered the phone there).
