For a long time, ranking the best was what I tried to do, but at this point I can't deny the results on the field. For instance, USF would never have been this high based on people ranking who they thought were the "best" teams at the start (or even talentwise), but their results speak loudly. USC's negative results speak loudly as well, though their QB situation drops them in a way similar to when Cincinnati lost a top NCAA tourney seed because Kenyon martin got hurt (or as it Fortson? I never remember).

This was the first week in which I completely ripped down my poll and started over, with on-field results weighed most heavily. And while I still don't like everyone revealing how they voted, I will say that's why South Florida got my No. 1 vote.

Hey everyone... having fun doing your polls?
To all those who have submitted early, yes you can resubmit after Boise State winds up its overtime game...

    Blast away!!!

A quick insight on my ballot — 1. Ohio State, 2. South Florida, 3. Boston College, 4. Kansas, 5. Arizona State

Biggest risers — Kentucky from 16 to 8, Florida from 25 to 18, Texas Tech 24 to 17; Biggest Falls — Missouri from 6 to 15, Cal from 2 to 14.
Added to the top 25 — Kansas State at 20, Auburn at 21, Tennessee at 22, Virginia at 23, Boise State at 25
Dropped from the top 25 — Florida State, Indiana, Purdue, Wisconsin, Illinois

Other notes: I have every undefeated and 1-loss team ranked, and that inclides Connecticut at 24. Florida is my top 2-loss team at 18 while Southern Cal is at 16, Hawaii is at 9 and LSU is 6.

Della, you're right, I dislike that. Kansas' schedule:

    Central Michigan
    Southeastern Louisiana
    Toledo
    Fla. International
    Kansas State
    Baylor

That's awful. How they'd be ahead of West Virginia, whose only loss was to No. 2 USF, or Missouri, another Big XII team whose only loss was to No. 5 Oklahoma, is beyond me. It's asinine.

    My top 5:
    Ohio State
    BC
    South Florida
    Oklahoma
    West Virginia
    LSU
    South Carolina
    Kentucky
    USC
    Oregon
