Well, Paris isn’t going to send an event to the USA. Tahiti is the French territory that has the best surf.

Teahupo'o (pronounced Chapu), off Tahiti, is one of the top surfing spots in the world.

Given the time lag, I wonder how that's going to work, we see Tuesday's results Wednesday? Or Wednesday's results Tuesday?

Jost is a fairly avid surfer. He writes in his memoir about surfing with Jimmy Buffett and Buffett's family, and Buffett having to rescue him.

I'm a big track guy and I want the U.S. to kick ass at the Olympics, but I'm almost as done with the Noah Lyles hype as the Simone Biles hype.
I mean, the guy's the real deal in the sprints -- he won the 100 and 200 at the trials -- but I'm rolling my eyes at the antics, the Yu-Gi-Oh cards, the shots of his mom, etc.

My guy is Kung-Fu Kenny Bednarek, who is all business and has begun to look like a real threat to Lyles in both events this year. In the 200 final tonight, he had Lyles beat until the last 10 or so meters, and he was clearly pissed he had let that race get away. In his post-race interview, Bednarek said, "I had it but I tightened up a little bit, so I'll get him next time. I'm on his case, I'm on his ass."
