Good read, thanks. But I still think you aren't going to get much more benefit from a drone overlooking a practice than you would watching game tape. Lineups, formations, kicks, subbing patterns. Nobody is doing the "barking dog" play in soccer.

You many want to contact Canada then.
Canada's men's and women's soccer teams have relied on drones and spying for years, sources say | TSN

Both sources said there is a lot to be learned from filming an opponent’s practice.

“You get to know their formations, their starting lineup,” one of the sources said. “You also look at who is taking a penalty kick and their set pieces.”

“Most people see this as cheating, which it is,” one of the sources said. “Some of our coaches just see it as a competitive advantage and justify it by saying everyone does it, which is also not true. Not everyone cheats and neither should we.”

To paraphrase Ace Rothstein from Casino:
Either the Canadian coach was in on the spying, or too dumb to notice. Either way, she is gone.

Again, maybe they don't see it as a risk - and sure if there is a player whose injury status is questionable, that would be good to know - look for any small edge you can I guess. Greatness comes from doing what others won't or don't.

I've seen the pictures with Snoop Dog with the torch. Sorry, that thing looks like a giant tiki torch like you'd buy at the hardware store.

If he didn't light a joint off it, that is the biggest disappointment of these Games.

Are they actually on strike or is this just a rehearsal for the cultural portion of tonight's show?

And there's your first doping positive of Paris 2024, though "Iraqi judoka" makes me wonder if WADA is just doing these press releases like Mad Libs or Clue.

Why would environmentalists sabotage train service? It’s the most environmentally friendly way to get around.
