    Sure, Dools, but do you think he'll sing "Proud to be an Astro"?

    Ball Four is probably my favorite sports book, but I am without Kindle. I guess it's nice that potentially a new generation could be introduced to the funniest baseball book of all time.

    It's on my tablet now. Hadn't read it in years, but it holds up *so* well. Just a great story.

    Sounds like a good deal ... and I agree about all the tapes/notes that are still in Bouton's possession.

    If I recall, they originally had about an 800 page book before they painstakingly pared it down.
