There's a difference between someone coming on here to talk about what he/she has written and someone starting threads about himself just for the sake of drawing attention to himself. No one ever gave Dave Kindred grief for his great Ali discussion. No one has ever asked Whitlock to discuss his crap. When he writes something as meaningful as Kindred, we can talk. I'm not holding my breath.

I love what whitlock brings to the table here--he knows he's going to make the inmates insane, and he never fails. The guy knows how to laugh, at himself, and others. If you can't do that on a freakin anonymous message board....sheesh.

I was saying he didn't have enough posts, in my opinion, for me to seriously consider him as the newbie of the year. Not that his posts were insignificant or sparse.

Just in the context of that one conversation. I said often that I'm a big fan of his writing, and I appreciated him visiting and sharing his knowledge.
