Dang spin....I don't know what the odds are of flopping back to back sets, but they can't be very high.

Sit back for a while, get the skills sharpened back up.

    Give em' hell.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of crazy shit in poker, but that was a first for me.

Do you throw away any hand that's not the nuts when someone bets into you big? Sometimes, you have to pay to see it. With that mentality, you're gonna get bluffed out of a lot of hands.

Off-topic, but still poker...the Empress Casino in Joliet, Ill., might be the only poker room in America that voluntarily closes on Friday nights and Saturdays. Why? Arcane Illinois gambling laws that allow each casino to only have a set number of "gaming positions", i.e. seats. It's more profitable to run 30 slots on Fri/Sat than 30 poker seats, so the Empress simply closes its small three-table room. During the week when biz on the casino floor is slower, they turn off 30 slots and reopen the poker, which is always full when open.

Anyway, weirdest thing I've seen in a casino in a while.

No.....but if someone goes all-in (Royal Flush, for example) and gets an immediate call (4 aces).....you have got to know that your Queens full is no good.....it will take a better poker player to lay down a big hand like that. Will you get bluffed out of some pots....yeah, but eventually, the worm will turn.

That's the same mentality I see from people I play with who can't throw away two pair with four-to-a-straight on the board. They think they're getting blufffed. I don't think a hard-and-fast approach works ... You play the situation.

If I see a board of AQ9JA, I think — depending on the pot — it's reasonable to think someone has aces full. You better spend some time thinking about it at least.
