I'll refrain from comment until we hear from the arbiter of toughness, Boom.

Bunch of pansies playing kickball is all.

And you started at least one of them -- the USA Today thread.

Been there. Done that. Not all that awesome. Kinda scary, in fact.

Uh, no. Actually I'm not. You're so sick of anti-soccer threads that you're starting a bunch of them yourself? Is that the point?

Well you don't see them flopping on the football field. End of argument.

I really have to disagree on the plethora of anti soccer threads claim. If look at the last 3 soccer threads of any kind they were all driven by well written articles - Simmons , Tubbin, and Deford.

All stories raised many good points. I don't get why you soccer folks are so defensive. At least people are talking about soccer.

    Yeah, you're right Boom.
No wideout has ever tumbled on purpose when brushed by a defensive back and gotten up calling for an interference penalty.
Not one. In the entire beloved history of the game we call football, that the rest of the world calls American football.
    Not one.
    It truly is amazing.

Twoback beat me to the punch on that one. Michael Irvin practically made a career out of diving for interference calls.

Don't forget about football players overreacting on borderline late hits to draw calls either.

But I guess that all falls under the header of manly gamesmanship.

It happens in basketball too. Good post players are past masters at flopping in the lane for calls. It happens in hockey too.

I love football as much as soccer, but you're reaching, Boom. Go back to the drawing board.

I guess Boom never heard of the infamous Gator flop. Not one guy. All 11.
