Another great episode. Street was great, but damn does Riggins EVER go to school? Nice tight ship you're runnin' there coach.
The best scene was Saracen over at coach's house for dinner then running patterns.
One of the things I enjoy about the show is, like Lost, they don't try and jam every character into every episode, but actually give each character something meaty to do when they need them.

Jason Street went out a hero last night. I loved it. Just absolutely loved it. That ending with him was way the hell awesome and well done. Great job by NBC.

I was also reminded, again, why Matt Saracen is one of my favorite characters on tv, and why him and Julie are such a damn likeable couple.

But I think the best scene was at the end with Street going out the way he did. That was one of the best scenes the show has had.

How much do you think that cab ride cost?

I was thinking the same thing. And yea, apparently it doesn't matter if Riggins ever goes to school or practice.

I would love to see the stories they'd tell if they knew they had a two-year arc to do it.

Two years would be great. I will take Jeff Zucker off my enemies list if this happens.

Once upon a time ago there was very storied high school program in a city I worked in. On game days, the basketball coach didn't make the players go to school. Didn't want to tax them. I found out because one day they showed up at the school they were playing later on.. and everyone was talking about it. But it was apparently regular activity. I'm guessing in Texas, there really are a few football players like Riggins.

  11. Nice find. I bet we will have an idea about Saracen by the end of the year. If he is still with Julie, then there hs to be a chance he will be back, at least for a four episode send-off like Smash and Street. If they are no longer together by the end of the season, then he might ride off into the sunset.
