I was secretly hoping for Lyla and Mindy to get even more friendly, if you know what I mean. And I'm guessing San Antonio State is like a Conference USA school?

And I'll say it again - Dillon's secondary sucks.

I thought Lyla and Mindy were headed for romance at well. Nice twist that both Riggins-exes wound up back with their loser boyfriends within minutes of each other....And how long til Tyra and Landry are back together again?

That was a great Buddy Garrity line.. good show.. I'm very glad that Tyra didn't actually get beaten up.

So I stopped watching hoops for an hour to watch tonight. And I was not disappointed.

Saracen and Julie get caught... by coach. And fucking Landry and Tyra. And good for JD Marinovich.

Julie and Lyla under the same roof. Yowza.

Loved Julie and Matt's scenes with the Taylors. Brilliant stuff.

He's at the breaking point. No more money and his family left him. All he's got left is Dillon football

It'd be a shame if that happened. He's a fantastic character. Riggins' brother would be the more likely suicide candidate in my opinion. Or suicide by cop perhaps.

    Good episode last night.
I liked the parallels between that scene with Riggins/Buddy/Lyla when Buddy came to get her from the Riggins house, and the scene last week with Coach/Cash/Tyra last week at the motel. Both put themselves physically between an out of control man and a young woman who wanted out of the conversation and calmed shit down. I really like, in general, what they've done with Riggins this season; he's pretty much become the moral center of the show, somehow.
Also the scene where Coach stumbles in on Julie and Saracen. You see him go in. Then hear a scream. And see him running back out. Nice. That whole plot thread was great and well-done. Again, with parallels between the conversation between Julie and mom, and then, like a scene later, between McCoy and Dad on the basketball court. Though I worry they're making SuperDad McCoy just a little too heavy-handed and evil (and is he not a dead ringer for Mitt Romney?)

That's why I'm calling him JD Marinovich now.
