Loved Buddy last night, I'm hoping the ex-coach doesn't wind up coaching against Dillon this year (a little too convenient) maybe after latching on as an assistant coach on another team he floats stories about Smash taking money from boosters or recruiters or airing other dirty laundery about Dillon but that's about as far as I'd go. Glad they're done with the Swede storyline and I don't know how they get Riggins back on the field. The guy is missing school and practices, how is he still eligible? And why doesn't Landry just say he lost the freakin' watch or had it stolen out of his car?

great episode last night. but i still don't think this season is as good as last season. it feels a little more cliched. last year everything wasn't so obvious. this year, with the exception of the murder, i could have sketched the storylines out on the back of a napkin. i would have liked a few more twists.

Porter has said in interviews he wouldn't have taken the part if it had just been the role of the "star quarterback dating the head cheerleader." He says he took it because, right up front, they told him he'd be paralyzed and and that it was much more about exploring how he was going to deal with that.

I rather enjoyed it when Riggins told Lyla the docs were going to inject Jason with "shark blood or something."

I actually thought the best part of the episode was coach MacGregor showing up at Coach Taylor's house and letting him know "I have a family too." I thought MacGregor's departure was a bit too easy, but that scene helped a bit, and I'm glad to see Coach Taylor back in Dillon.

Liked the MacGregor/Taylor scene, especially the line about another coach screwing him. It rings true. I know the elder coach in my area has taken stands for other coaches in the county/conference who were under fire. Always was under theory that if they couldn't support one another, they were all fucked.

Loved, loved, loved the Landry scenes, especially the dinner with the family. Also was a big fan of the Riggins/Street Mejico scenes...

I have a few favorite scenes per say but I believe the best one was when Coach Taylor put on his cap and walked into the room if he had never been gone and you could see the respect that he got from the players.

Now will Coach T survive two years at Dillion and with Riggins not playing will he be able to win another state championship???

I got the say when T got the word about the throuble Buddy and everyone was in for firing the the other coach and T going I signed a none compete agreement I can't coach at another college for two years...Dam.

Lyla's reaction during the police station scene was brilliantly acted. She looked so hesitant and so nervous. She's a great teenage actress for a 28-yr old.

    You mean Tyra, yes?

    Lyla is the foxy brunette.

    Tyra the foxy blond.

Just caught up with the last two episodes. Liked No. 2 a lot. Particularly Julie breaking into tears when she realized her mother was right about the Swede, the scene between Coach Taylor and Coach MacGregor at the end, and the continuing development of Tim Riggins.
And, if that was the end of the regrettable murdering-the-rapist storyline, I think they wriggled out of that plot corner nicely, all things considered.
