Double, that was excellent. Frightening, but excellent.

That sound you heard was my lifeless body slamming to the ground as the shell from a .22 rifle plays bumper pool inside my frontal lobe.

Playmakers was a good show, the best thing ESPN has done. Too good apparently for the NFL which pressured the net to drop it, claiming its stories of wife-abusing, strip-club visiting, drug-abusing players and journalists shacking up with players, ulcer-having coaches cast the league in an unfavorable light. I still love that final scene where the team is in the lockeroom and watches the TV as the team they need to lose wins on the final play.
If most of the FNL viewership follows to ESPN they'd do pretty well in the cable ratings.

Yeah, and the board's usual turn toward panic at the first mention of the WWL is cute.

I think that FNL may actually become better if a sports outlet take over control over the show from NBC. I have read it here and other places that FNL has become a women's show with a little bit of fake will never happen football added to keep the husbands from bitching about how boring the show.

If ESPN takes over the production I believe that we would atleast get some stories where the Panthers win a game using real football instead of what we get now.

The show is still good but I wish they would stop with the 6 stories in one season. They are packing to much into it and I think if they worried about maybe 2-3 max the show would still be kick ass.

Landry's father is a great character and I love the actor who plays him. He was also a huge fan favorite on 24. Landry is consistently terrific and the actor nails the role.

Really enjoyed last week's episode. I find Matt's progression in character to be one of the more intriguing developments this season. I'm interested to see where Jason is headed as well.

This may be my favorite TV show cast since The Sopranos.

Psst. It's not really about football...

Yes, that's no excuse for the lame-ass, every-game-going-down-to-the-last-play, football scenes that they do have on every episode or three. But, personally, I'd rather have it the way it is than see it be turned into some Playmakers-lite for high school.

Did FNL not air last night?

My DVR was set to tape it earlier in the week, but nothing showed up...

It was on. Pretty good episode too. This Santiago deal is going get the team all fucked up with ineligibility. Smash's recruitment is interesting. And of course Saracen and the maid are about to start getting it on, even though he's got his new girl.

Oh, and easily the creepiest moment is the new teacher, "Noah," and Julie getting too close. At least the mom knows whats up. But if they go there with Julie, well, I just hope they don't.

No new episode next week, but it comes back in two weeks.

Interesting how they have turned Saracen into a playa, on and off the field.

And we have confirmation that Lyla is still a prepster.

I faced an interesting ethical quandry, then said fuck it and watched it online.

Sorry striking TV writers. But I did sign your online petition, so I figure we're even.
