Back to the show (my wife, btw, even admits that tyra is probably the hottest chick on tv today), was watching a rerun from the 1st season on universal Hd the other day. it was the one where the Taylors had to have the whole team over for some party, the one where tami got all pissed under the table and chewed coach out.
anyway, twice during the show Julie was sent to the store to fetch more supplies.
Wait, didn't she just take her driver's test last week? Seems to me the producers were sleeping at the wheel or the coach's daughter can drive illegally whenever she wants.
Oh, and loved the shower scene, because I just wasn't expecting ALL that. Spoke to a theme larger than getting dumped, which was great. Though I wonder how these guys get away with skipping school so often, seems strange.
who cares, the best show on tv, why quibble.

 

Word is that the writer's strike is almost over. I have been pleasantly surprised to see no end to the new episodes. Perhaps it'll continue if they get a deal finalized this week.

I think the answer really depends on what kind of mood your in.

Tami's gotta be at the top of the overall list.

But Lyla and Tyra (btw, Tyra in spanx ... damn) ... how can you argue? btw, this was the shower scene everyone was thinking, right? BOING!

Landry's geeky chick ... like someone said, that could be a fun weekend.

Smash's chick seems like a bitch.

Julie ... I still think QB1 should get to pop that.

Grandma ... you fuckin' people are sick. The line about Momma Smash's belly button sweaters was classic though.

Excellent point about the quality one liners in that episode.

Good call from a few pages back by someone predicting TMU pulling Smash's scholly.

I agree that Landry picked the wrong girl, but I also agree that all of us (sans Hoops maybe) would do the same thing at 17.

I loved Saracen in this episode. This dude has so much on his plate and he's taken in quite well for so long. Who hasn't wanted to take a "fuck it" approach to life for a couple days when seemingly everything is going against you. I absolutely loved Riggins telling Matt at the bar they were going to practice. "Pound some water and eat some peanuts to cover your breath." I wasn't fond of Coach turning a blind eye to the alcohol ... but these are sensitive times at my employer so we're keenly aware of the effects.

That closing scene was tremendous.

Did anyone see the preview for next week? **MILD SPOILER ALERT**

I can't wait to see Coach kick some dude's ass, but I bet Tami won't be too happy about that.

I don't see the fascination with geeky chick. The dreadlocks and the fact she looked 12 were just too much for me to handle. OF COURSE, Landry was going to pick Tyra.

Episode was great, like everyone else said.

 

Best lines of the episode:

Coach: "Good guys finish last, that's what she's trying to say."
Tami: "That's not what I'm trying to say, sweetie. Look at you, you finished first didn't you?"
Coach: (Laughing) "I don't know about that."

 

Yeah this was a classic line to come out of this show. If I had said that I would not be sleeping in the bed, thats for sure.
