"We're NBC, we have a reputation to uphold." -- Ben Silverman

Yeah, how about creating a reputation of standing behind good fucking television, Ben?

How dare you say that of the man that brought back American Gladiators!

Don't forget Knight Rider or other shows he has ripped off or dusted off and claimed as his own.
I know NBC is on this "green" kick, but why not try to recycle some of the good shows in NBC's vault, like Hill Street Blues or L.A. Law. Oh, that's right, they're not in the Universal "vault" and it would cost money to bring them back.

Sorry for the interruption, but I've got a quick question and don't want any spoilers so I'm not reading back through the thread. Loved FNL last season, but was greatly disappointed in the season opener and haven't watched since. It's time to watch, or delete from the DVR. Does this season get any better? Should I invest the time or was that first episode the beginning of the end?

  6. I feel this was a good, good season (and might be the last of the show). Not as on par with the first season, but great in a completely different manner. Well worth watching (still one of the best on TV).

Yeah, I'd say it's definitely worth your time, sir.

30 Rock is great, but what an asshole.
Try getting out of fourth place before you make comments like the "reputation we have to uphold."
Oh, you mean the reputation that you're abusing by foisting "The Biggest Loser" and a "Knight Rider" remake on us?
    Come on, man.

I hope that I am not the only one that did not like this episode of FNL. The thing is I missed the first 15 min so I guess my review is not that great, but still not very exciting one except Lila almost did it with jesus boy.

If that proves to be the last one, I will be disappointed for a long time. Too, too much yet to be resolved.

I didn't think this episode was a keeper either.

It was good to see Smash wind up somewhere decent. But the whole byplay between Coach and his wife's ex was poorly crafted. And the fight at the end in a classy restaurant was over the top too.

Let's hope the show comes back though.

The one thing the fight scene leaves me asking is: Smash got suspended for three games for hitting a kid. What message does this send if Coach Taylor instigates a fight and gets nothing?
