They'll still have them at NBC.com or no?

Is there anything else that makes it worth it?

Anybody figure season three will be it? I don't see NBC taking sloppy seconds and suddenly the show is more popular than ever.

Better TV picture quality, more HD channels than cable, access to things like NASCAR HotPass (driver cams), NFL Sunday Ticket, and the only satellite outlet that gets MLB Extra Innings.
    That's worth it to me.

Does DirecTV offer high-speed internet? My cable is tied to my high-speed service, and I lose my longtime email address if I make a change. I wish they offered email portability the way they do now with cell phones.

Not that I know of, but in my neck of the woods DirecTV is offered in a "bundle" package with AT&T (formerly BellSouth here) phone service, email service and cell phone service.
I do feel your pain on the email change. Did it two years ago when I moved and it definitely sucked.

I don't want to be the defender of cable. But.

DirecTV is disingenious at best and misleading the public at worst with its claim about "more HD channels." They have more HD channels than most cable systems. I'd like them to show the research that proved they have more HD channels than all cable systems.

When I've done the math on Direct TV after the 6 Month promo rate there is no real cost advantge over cable.

Dealbreaker for me though is no access to The YES network.

I had dish ... first big dish, then Dish Network when it became obsolete.

Only thing I noticed when I got cable back was that cable had gotten a hell of a lot better since the last time I had it.

    Shottie,

They have more HD than any cable, outlet I have seen. However, a lot of what they count is local stations.

But, I have the HD pack and they have lots more than the cable company in my area. And since the launch last month of the latest satellite and the fact that the count, for instance Mobile AL locals in their total, they have more than Cable. Cable can, in most markets, provide locals, but in many cities, not much else. DTV can, in most markets, provide lots of HD, but not locals...yet.

My DirecTV has YES - in HD, no less - and I don't live in the Northeast either.
