See, I would pay extra to make sure YES never showed up on my television.

First episode airs Oct. 1, and I can't watch it unless I dump the cable, which also serves as my ISP, and get some dish stuff I don't want. What is currently the Web site of the day for watching shows online? I certainly don't plan to spend money to watch 13 episodes of a show that won't be renewed.

Don't know if it's been mentioned or not through the 22 pages, but the site has pretty much any show imaginable, including movies.

Not true. I kept the cable company's broadband Internet when I dumped their TV service in favor of DirecTV.

Now that I've recovered from pulling a hammy, what stations/channels plan on showing FNL?

DirecTV 101 in October. NBC early next year. NBC.com ... at some point.

(101 is apparently running season 1 of Californication starting Sept. 15, as well.)

Isn't one of the high-def channels showing it as well? Like Universal or HDNet?

So. Convince me to opt for DirecTV.

I now have a combo package combining Bright House Networks extended digital cable with DVR and high-speed web access. It runs $105 per month plus taxes.

We have no premium movie channels. We watch sports programming, the networks, cable news and entertainment channels and children's programming. We record a lot of shows. So DVR is a must.

Without the package, my high-speed internet would run $30 a month with 15 Mbps downloads.
