I never met Grant Wahl. I feel like I know him because I've read him for so long. I've probably been stadiums where he was but never knew it.
I'm beside myself pissed.
The guy was killed by a shitty country for doing his job.

 

He was fucking murdered. This was not an accident.

 

This is horrible regardless of what happened.

He was sick for ten days before going to the hospital this week? We may want to dial back some of the murder allegations for the moment.

And they wait to murder him...during the quarterfinals?

Yes, it needs to be investigated. There are also many middle-age people who die horribly young for natural reasons, especially ones who have been writing about feeling sick.

 

I dealt with some of these motherfuckers when the Qatari crown prince owned an NHRA team. They didn't even like softball questions.
I wasn't too concerned about pissing them off on my home turf of Tennessee, North Carolina, and Georgia, but you could tell they weren't accustomed to being challenged.

 

We may never get the full story on this tragedy. Specifically, I doubt we're going to get a full, medically decent autopsy.

 

Is there motive? Tons of it. And means? Yeah, it's their country. I guess the point of my tone right now is it would have to be some real James Bond shit for them to murder an American journalist in the middle of a crowded press box during a World Cup game. I mean, that certainly doesn't lower the likelihood to zero. Maybe not even to 10%, but when they said it was in the press box that took down the possibility that some vigilante on the street knifed him or something.

Shit, this is way too much speculation, but I just want to talk to someone about it.

 

So if something happened like got sick or whatever during the match we're just now hearing about it? No one saw him leave or have an issue?

If he got taken out then no one saw that either? Do we know he didn't finish covering it or just based on tweets? Anyone subscribe and see what his last reporting was?
