OK, no trial, no charge, no assertion that there was no consent, and the woman was of age. Other than not having any elements of rape, it was....rape? Just want to bring up those precious facts you so treasure, OT.

He's been letting them kick him in the square in the ass for a good long while, and it's been tiresome to watch. Not crazy about defending a man who won't even defend himself from the lowest charlatans.

Sadly, I agree. Almost get the impression that he's expecting his support base and re-election campaign people to do the heavy lifting for him, as long as he just doesn't do anything to screw it up.

Unfortunately, I think Chris Matthews made a good point when he said how it looked like Romney went in with an attitude determined to do what it takes to "win" the debate, whereas Obama was merely trying to "survive" the debate without significant damage. Sorry, wrong approach, this election is still too far from over to be going into that level of prevent defense.

And, for god sakes, forget about the angry black man BS. Anyone who might see it that way deserves to be told to fuck off. The people you need to convince don't give a shit about that.

Like to see how LBJ would have dealt with this bunch, how he would have debated a sneering plastic-haired schmuck with silver cufflinks and a perfectly creased tie.

Or Bill Clinton. Say what you will about Bill's personal foibles, but that guy was a frickin natural at knowing how to handle these things, and without resorting to kowtowing or bowing down to anybody. I hope he's an Obama advisor right now.

So, hey, everyone who has been saying Mitt Romney's "47 percent" was right on and he's just telling it like it is. There's another person who disagrees with you: Mitt Romney.

"Well, clearly in a campaign, with hundreds if not thousands of speeches and question-and-answer sessions, now and then you're going to say something that doesn't come out right," Romney said. "In this case, I said something that's just completely wrong."

He added: "And I absolutely believe, however, that my life has shown that I care about 100 percent and that's been demonstrated throughout my life. And this whole campaign is about the 100 percent."

Mitt Romney, quite literally, has no set positions. His Etch A Sketch Candidacy makes John Kerry look like his positions were carved in granite. He would perform an abortion tomorrow in Dayton if he thought it would win him Ohio.

Mitt Romney quite seriously makes me long for George W. Bush. I miss that sly bastard.

agreed. at least bush appeared to be following some sort of a plan ... as shitty as it may have been, and even it is wasn't his, he still was following a plan.
