You want revolution 21st century style? Consider the strategy of the gay marriage movement...money, media, lawyers. See, no guns involved.

    I look at Cuba.
    Check the revolution in 1958.
That was one of the island's most prosperous years.
It was not some third-world tinpot, but economically ranked ahead of a number of European countries (that, to be fair, were still recovering from WWII).
Also ranked third or fourth economically in the Americas.

What group do you see staging this revolution? From what "outrage" does it emanate?

The same disgust that fueled Occupy Wall Street and the Tea Party.
Competing philosophies but both borne of contempt and exasperation.
And they still don't understand how angry the little man is becoming in this country.
They still don't fucking get it.

There is anger out there. As of now, people have food and shelter. Take the basics away, and watch the fire burn.

Yes, I have already stated I envision a future much like Mad Max and/or The Road.
I expect very hard times ahead, and I fear they will last the rest of my life.
The philosopher-king in Washington can fantasize all he likes, but back on Planet Earth things aren't looking too good.

Batista also was using his army to kill dissenters. I'd imagine that pissed off a few people.

So you're saying it was pretty much a "Six one way, half a dozen the other" kind of thing, huh?

It doesn't take much to set people off right now.
It's only going to get worse if all we do is play the blame game.

Must disagree with those who think there will be violence in the streets if economic disparity continues.

That will get snuffed quickly if the National Guard is just overzealous enough. We're not looking at a full-scale revolution that would have any effect.

Our society is what it is. There will never be enough people who rise up.

Yeah, they were damned if they did, and damned if they didn't.
